Chase Gruening is the visionary Founder and CEO of COACHG, a game-changing coaching and training company that empowers insurance agencies to reach their highest potential. With a unique blend of grit, determination, and a deep understanding of the insurance industry, Chase has built COACHG into a powerhouse of knowledge and support for agency owners and agents alike.
Chase’s journey began far from the insurance world. Armed with a degree in fitness and sports from Millikin University, he spent years coaching college football, honing his skills in leadership, strategy, and team-building. In 2016, he took a leap into the insurance industry, where his passion for teaching and leading others found a new home. Starting as a solo agent, Chase quickly grew his business into Gruening Health and Wealth (GHW), a multiple seven-figure agency known for its excellence in Medicare and retirement planning.
Recognizing a gap in the industry for comprehensive, practical training, Chase launched COACHG with a clear mission: Creating Championship Producers. Building Championship Teams. COACHG offers a range of programs tailored to meet the needs of insurance professionals at every stage of their careers. Chase lives just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife, Emily, their daughters, Remi and Hunter, and their dog, Rip. Burt's coaching legacy was solidified when, at 22, he became Tennessee's youngest head coach, guiding Riverdale High School's basketball program to unparalleled heights. A master of cultivating a "competitive intelligence" within his players, Burt's revolutionary philosophy garnered global attention. This led to his writing 14 impactful books, setting the stage for his transformation into a sought-after growth expert.
Transitioning from sports at 31, Burt built a multimillion-dollar coaching empire and founded the Monster Producer coaching program, which has reshaped sales professionals and business owners alike. Gaylan Hendricks is the CEO of Senior Security Benefits and a Managing Partner at Integrity Marketing Group.
In the historically male-dominated insurance industry, Gaylan pioneered her way to the top from her company’s inception in 2001 to sales of over $100 million in 2020. As she has risen in the industry, Gaylan’s philosophy has been to help others, rather than compete against them. She shares her knowledge as a speaker at several large industry events. Additionally, she is considered “Queen of the Bundle” as her platform for coaching others individually, through podcasts and on social media where she has gained thousands of followers. She conducts training in cross-selling insurance products with techniques she coined “30-60-90” and “Spouse in the House.”
Known for her bright personality, Gaylan brings energy and passion into everything she does. Gaylan excels in designing scripts for sales lead generation. She has held her health and life insurance license since 1987 and serves on the advisory councils for several major carriers.
Along with her role as CEO, she believes in giving back to the community. She served as a board member of the American Heart Association for four years. She serves on the executive council for Ronald McDonald House, and supports Hope Fort Worth, Fundamental Legacy and Polished Ministries.
Gaylan has a fierce love of family and enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, children, grandchildren and her mini Aussiedoodle, Ruby Faith. Whenever she possibly can, Gaylan is on a plane traveling the world and seeing first-hand all that God has created.

Joseph Pate is from a suburban town just outside of Providence, Rhode Island. He is the oldest of five siblings and this helped create a foundation for his leadership and work ethic. In 2013, Joseph decided to enter the corporate world. While juggling being a college athlete, studentA and adviser, Joseph was able to graduate at the top of his class and earned his MBA at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
Aside from his educational accomplishments, Joseph established Medicare Joe ® back in 2018. He stumbled upon the Medicare industry through assisting his grandparents with their Medicare plans. Witnessing how difficult it was for his grandparents to understand Medicare, he figured there had to be more people just like them that were having difficulty. Joseph then set out on a mission to learn all the “ins and outs” of Medicare. With the demand of seniors needing assistance with their Medicare needs, Joseph felt that he could be an asset to the senior population, and he created Medicare Joe ®. Since then, the Medicare Joe ® insurance agency has grown rapidly and now helps thousands of Medicare beneficiaries each year with their Medicare needs.
Similarly, to how he stumbled upon the Medicare industry through his grandparents, it was his Medicare clients that led him to the Retirement Planning industry. Through countless inquiries of folks needing assistance with their retirement plan, Joseph decided there was more he could do to help people. In 2022 he set out to seek advice and partnerships to assist with delivering this service to his clients. In less than 6 months, he established Retire With Joe, LLC, where he and his team help educate folks about their financial situation and retirement planning. Through a transparent, simple, and easy to understand Portfolio X-Ray Worksheet, they can relay valuable insight and guidance that their clients can ACTUALLY understand.
While growing both companies, Joseph has been helping other agents and agencies across the county within the Medicare and Retirement Planning industry. While helping these agents and agencies, he emphasizes that ALL agents should be trained not only on Medicare, but on how their clients will need help with retirement planning as well.

Travis Goveia brings a team-first mindset and a deep playbook of practical knowledge to every rep inside COACHG. Growing up in a big family with four brothers—including his twin—competition, leadership, and hard work were built into his DNA. A three-sport athlete through high school, Travis went on to play football and earn his MBA from Millikin University.
Since 2018, Travis has been in the Medicare trenches—working directly with clients and coaching agents on how to win in one of the most technical (and rewarding) spaces in the industry. Today, as the National Director of Sales at Gruening Health & Wealth, he oversees a high-performing team of agents and teaches the fundamentals that drive real results.
Inside COACHG, Travis leads The Practice Field—a weekly session where agents roll up their sleeves and get hands-on with the operational and sales details that make the difference. From navigating carrier portals to mastering product-specific conversations, he helps agents tighten their game one rep at a time.
When he’s not coaching agents or clients, you’ll find him coaching high school football, watching classic movies, or hanging out with his fiancé Sara and their massive crew of nieces and nephews.

With a background in football coaching and Medicare sales, Matt’s playbook is rooted in clarity, precision, and repeatability. No fluff. No confusion. Just proven strategies built from the ground up inside a multi-seven-figure Medicare agency.
He’s passionate about helping agents get out of the weeds, stop duct-taping their tech, and finally build marketing systems that work as hard as they do.

Chris Hunt is the connector, closer, and coach behind the scenes—making sure the business relationships around COACHG move with precision, purpose, and long-term strategy. Born and raised in London, England, Chris moved stateside in 2006 to attend Millikin University, where he played football and earned his degree in Business Management before going on to complete his MBA at Louisiana State University.
With a background in finance, commodity trading, and energy procurement, Chris brings a rare combination of corporate-level polish and gritty, get-it-done hustle. As CoachG’s Director of Business Development, he manages key external partnerships, maintains the bridge between CoachG and its FMO network, and serves as the point man for agency owners inside the program—helping them navigate opportunities, resources, and strategic growth initiatives.
Whether he’s negotiating deals, guiding new agency owners through the system, or repping CoachG in high-stakes conversations, Chris is the guy you want in your corner when it’s time to expand your footprint and level up your business.
He currently lives in Nashville with his wife Courtney and their two daughters, Collins and Camden. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him hunting, cheering on England Rugby, or spending quality time with family and friends.
